Waxing: a sticky wax (hot or cold) is applied to the skin where the hair removal is desired and then is pulled off form the skin taking the hair with it. Temporary hair reduction
Laser-assisted hair removal : a laser is directed through the skin to the hair follicle and gradually stops the growth of the hair. It is most effective in lighter skinned people as the laser targets the melanin in the hair and it absorbs more light. This last up to 6 months and large areas of skin can be treated at a time, however it is time consuming.
Permanent Hair Removal
Electrolysis : this is the most effective permanent hair removal method whereby an electric current to destroy the hair root. Several treatments are required for the hair follicle to be destroyed .A small area such as the upper lip may take a total of 4 to 10 hours and a larger area such as the bikini line may take 8 to 16 hours.
